Well I was Wrong

Well, my Saban Bowl prediction did not end up becoming a reality. In fact, it was the exact opposite. LSU barely showed any fight last night as the Crimson Tide dog walked them throughout the game. The Georgia Bulldogs were another team that had me shocked last night when they were upset by Ole Miss losing 28-10. Today I talk about what yesterday’s matchups mean for the rest of the season and who I think will win it all in January.

Alabama won easily yesterday no other way to put it. The new AP poll that came out today has them ranked at #9. Do I believe that Alabama is a legitimate playoff team? Yeah, sure, my mind has been changed in the meantime, but I don’t think they should be ranked higher than teams like Miami or Ole Miss because I truly don’t think they would beat those teams. I have seen far too many close games against opponents that are worse than Miami and Ole Miss. As far as Georgia goes I can only laugh. They beat the #1 team in the country and now lose to Ole Miss. Carson Beck is laughable as a draft prospect and the defense let up 28 points to Ole Miss. I don’t see them making the 12-team playoff.

The Ducks are clearly the number 1 team in the country and they are my pick for the team that will win it all in January. They dominated nearly every opponent they have played except for Ohio State and Boise State. Dilon Gabriel is a Heisman candidate, and I think it is very likely that the Ducks finish the regular season undefeated. The only teams that I think can compete with them are the Texas Longhorns and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Another undefeated team and 10-0 for the first time are the Indiana Hoosiers. Last night they beat the reigning National Champions, Michigan Wolverines, and hope to beat the Wolverines arch-rival next week against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Indiana is a team that I would love to see in the College Football Playoff and cap off their season undefeated.

I know not to rule out Alabama and Georiga of making or winning the College Football playoff. However, I would love it if they didn’t. A national championship that I would love to watch would be a rematch of Ohio State and Oregon, or Texas vs Oregon. As far as teams that I want to win, I would definitely like to see Notre Dame, Oregon, or Indiana take home the big one. Realistically I expect Oregon and Ohio State to duke it out again, and for Ohio State to prevail and get revenge for 2015.
